WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO DESIGN A VEHICLE WRAP GRAPHIC IN PHOTOSHOP CS2?

HERE’S MY PROBLEM: I NEED TO DESIGN A VEHICLE WRAP (FULL COLOR DIGITAL PRINT ON VINYL MATERIAL AND THEN APPLIED TO A VEHICLE FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES) FOR A FRIEND, I ALREADY HAVE THE DESIGN ACTUALLY, HOWEVER, I DID THE ENTIRE DESIGN IN AN 8″ X 11″ DOCUMENT, WELL……..WHEN YOU TRY TO AMPLIFY IT TO A FULL SIZE SCALE, IT GETS REALLY DISTORTED & PIXELIZED, EVEN THOUGH I USED A 350 DPI (DOTS PER INCH) RESOLUTION. SHOULD I DO THE DESIGNING FROM SCRATCH FULL SCALE WITH 200 DPI? NOW…..THE DESIGN HAS A FEW DIFFERENT SPECIAL EFFECTS AND HAS A MINIMUM OF 20 LAYERS, BLENDINGS AND OTHER TECHNIQUES ARE USED…..CAN I VECTORIZE IT SOMEHOW SO I DON’T LOSE THE QUALITY OF THE GRAPHIC, AND THEN FILL IN THE VECTOR GFX WITH THE BLENDINGS, ETC.??? IF I DO THE FULL SCALE DESIGN IT TAKES MY COMPUTER FOREVER TO DOWNLOAD THE CHANGES. NEED HELP PLEASEEEEEEEEEE

Have you spoken to the people who are actually printing and applying the wrap? In the past when I have designed a wrap, I did a mock-up of the vehicle (used a white car the same model) and applied what I wanted over it. I then got with the car wrap people and sent them the elements that I needed to use in vector format. They have specialized software that they use, and they took my elements, along with my overall example and put it into their program. (For example if I wanted a logo with a glow around it, I sent them the vector logo without the glow. They then put the glow on it to make it look like my mock-up) I then proofed it and tweaked it with them, until I got the desired end result. Just call them, and they’ll work with you.
